In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation at https://www.alz.org/sd.

Bea was born on August 13, 1940, in Luverne, Minnesota, to Al and Corice (Hovland) Barck. She graduated from Washington High School, class of 1959, and married Mark Baumberger of Colton, South Dakota, on June 23, 1961. Together, Bea and Mark built a wonderful life, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Throughout their marriage, they lived in several cities across South Dakota, Colorado, Arizona, and Iowa. There were many houses, but Bea made each one a home.

Bea worked in a variety of roles over the years, as a bank teller, a high school lunch lady, and a bookkeeper for the family business, but her greatest joy and fulfillment came from being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. In her early years, Bea shared her love of dance by teaching tap to younger students. She was a woman of many passions; she loved horses, was an active member of The Red Hat Society, enjoyed her bowling league, and even took up golfing later in life. Above all, she cherished her family and took great pride in attending her grandchildren's many activities, from band concerts and dance recitals to soccer games and art exhibits. She was, without a doubt, their biggest fan.

Bea is survived by her children, Brenda Baumberger, Bart (Cathy) Baumberger, and Mikki Shapard; her grandchildren, Kayla Baumberger, Cristian Shapard, Chelsea (Ryan Kisser) Baumberger, and Olivia Shapard; her brothers, Dallas (Linda) Barck and Carl Barck; and her great-nieces and nephews, Heidi (Brandon) Meyer, Tim (Sarah) Barck, Travis Barck, and Seth Barck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Corice Barck; her sister, Cathy Barck; and her beloved husband, Mark Baumberger.

Bea will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, humor, goofiness, contagious laughter, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
