Cremation Burials
GROUND BURIAL FOR CREMATION
At Hills of Rest Cemetery, we require that the cremation urn be placed in an outside burial container, or in other words, a cremation vault. The vault's purpose is to withstand the pressure of the earth so that over time the grave or marker will not collapse. We offer four cremation urn vault styles from simple concrete vaults to stainless steel lined synthetic marble vaults. All are large enough to accommodate almost any sized cremation urn, as well as pictures or other small mementos.
We allow up to two urn placements into the same grave space. If a second person is to be interred into the same space, a second right of inurnment must be purchased for the double use of the grave space.
Hills of Rest Cemetery allows one exception to the requirement of the use of a cremation vault for ground burial. That exception is the placement of the cremated remains into a cremation marker receptacle.
Additionally, Hills of Rest Cemetery does not allow scattering of cremated remains within the cemetery grounds. We do offer FREE placement in our Wildwood Cremation Garden Ossuary. Please contact a cemetery representative if you are interested in this offering.
INDOOR GLASS
FRONT NICHES
Inside the Wildwood Chapel and Mausoleum, Hills of Rest offers glass front cremation niches. They are available as individual, companion, or family niches. The glass niche allows families to place pictures and personal mementos inside the niches as a fond remembrance of their loved ones.
Whether you choose ground burial, a private memorial estate, columbarium niche, glass front niche or the ossuary, we have something that will match your needs.
For families who choose cremation, Hills of Rest provides the perfect setting for you and your loved one's final resting place.
