David A. Larson

David Arthur Larson passed away on September 9, 2024, in Lincolnshire, IL, at the age of 91. He was born on February 2, 1933, in Mankato, MN, to Arthur and Mollie Larson.

He attended Grinnell College in Iowa, and Mankato State University in Minnesota, after which, he served two years with the US Army and was stationed in Alaska.

After his service, he worked as a sales representative for Hallmark Cards. While on a business trip, he met his future wife, Marlene (nee Brown) at the Arkota Ballroom in Sioux Falls, SD. They were married on September 5, 1959.

Dave spent most of his career in the insurance industry. His work took the family from Sioux Falls to Minneapolis, Seattle and, ultimately, to Lincolnshire IL in 1967.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene, in 2006. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Steve) and Todd (Susan), and his four grandchildren, Christian, Eric, Evan, and Katelyn.

Dave and Marlene's ashes will be interred together at the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.
