Donna M Dieren

Donna Dieren, age 73, of Sioux Falls, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Ava's House, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Hills of Rest Mausoleum. 

A Liturgical Wake Service will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 26 at the George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, with a 6:30 PM, Scripture Service followed by a Rosary.  

Donna Marie Dieren, daughter of Kenneth Krejci and Mary (Rutten) Krejci, was born March 8, 1952, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She grew up on a farm outside of Garretson, South Dakota, moving to an acreage outside of Hills, Minnesota at the end of her freshman year. After graduating from West Lyon High School, she moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she had a live in day care job and waitressed.

She married her husband Robert Dieren in August of 1972, in Larchwood, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she waitressed, did day care, worked at Austad’s Warehouse until closing and McDonalds.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Krejci; two daughters, Shelly (Tim) Hadley and Amy Dieren; two granddaughters, Alexis (Tim) Bowman and Carrissa (Trevor) Bynum; two great grandchildren, Jasper and Nora; one brother, Lyle (Cheri) Krejci; five sisters, Gail (Rick) Viereck, Sharell (Roy) Doherty, Joan DeSmet, Sheila (Ron) Rust, Diane (Mike) Sullivan; numerous nieces; nephews; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dieren; father, Kenneth Krejci; brother-in-law, Barry DeSmet; nephew, David Viereck; and niece, Sara Doherty.

Relatives and friends are invited to lunch at the church hall following the interment service.
