Donna Miller, 89, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society Sioux Falls Village.  Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2025, at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Donna Marie (Hibbard) Miller, daughter of Donald Theodore Hibbard and Maria Louise Elmquist was born on May 3, 1935, in Minneapolis MN. Her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia a few years before returning to Minneapolis, MN. She was an active Girl Scout while growing up. Donna’s best friend throughout her school days was a girl named Sparky. Sparky and Dusty (Donna) were the duo to beat. After high school Dusty and Sparky went to see the world and ended up living in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Grand Rapids, Michigan working various jobs.

Donna was working for the airline in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she met the love of her life Richard (Buzz) Miller. They were happily united in marriage April 4th, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in Grand Rapids, MI for a year before moving to Sioux Falls in 1960.

Buzz and Donna lived in a little greenhouse on the corner of Brookings Ave for 50+ years. They made many lasting friendships with all her neighbors.

Donna was a stay-at-home mom raising her three children. She loved her vegetables and flower gardens. She had bird feeders everywhere and loved the squirrels. She would sit and watch out the kitchen window as her birds’ babies hatched. Eventually enjoying this special moment with her grandchildren.

Donna also loved gambling at the casinos and made sure we all had a chance to go to the birthday booth on our special day!  Donna loved to travel and when Buzz was alive, they did extensive world travels with the entire family. As the kids were older, Donna really enjoyed working for Rental Car companies traveling throughout the US moving rental cars from place to place.

Donna was a proud mother of three, a wonderful grandmother to five and a great grandmother to three. Donna loved everyone she was around. She lit up every room she walked through and helped teach her grandchildren to be the best version of themselves that they could. Donna’s legacy of being a humble and loving individual will certainly live on through her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Richard (Buzz) Miller; her three children, Gretchen (Paul) Noeyack, Alan Miller and Pamela Brady; five grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Donahue, Kristine (Brandon) Kin, Allison (Jacob) Parsons, Quintin (Anne) Brady, and Morgan Brady; and three great grandchildren, Haley Campbell, Junah Parsons and Ellis Parsons

She now reunites with her parents, brother, and three children.

Donna is survived by her five grandchildren, Allison (Jacob) Parsons, Quintin (Anne) Brady, Morgan Brady, Melissa Donahue (Michael), and Kristine (Brandon) Kin; and her three great grandchildren, Haley Campell, Junah Parsons, and Ellis Parsons
