Dustin “Bubba” Philip Freeman

Dustin “Bubba” Philip Freeman, 38, of Sioux Falls, died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls as the result of an ATV accident. His family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory beginning at 5:00 PM with a time of sharing to be held at 7:00 PM.  A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Dustin was born on April 11, 1988 in Sioux Falls to Rick and Karla Marie (Langner) Freeman. He was raised and received his education in Sioux Falls, graduating from Washington High School in 2006.  Growing up, Dustin developed a love for sports.  From playing soccer, basketball, Jr. football to softball.  He also developed a love of Pittsburgh Steelers Football, Nascar, dirt track racing and watching WWE (wrestling) with his brother.  Although he stopped playing softball as an adult, Dustin transitioned his love of the game to being an Umpire for many years.

Dustin has spent over 20-years in the floral industry, joining North American Wholesale Florist’s sales team in 2017, bringing his years of experience and his drive to help florists and co-workers succeed. He was proud of the fact that last year he was given an award for over $1 Million in sales.

As an adult, when not working Dustin enjoyed fishing, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Minnesota Twins and spending countless hours playing fantasy leagues. He continued watching dirt track racing and NASCAR and looked forward to his yearly trips to Las Vegas with his friends.

Dustin was a “social butterfly’ with a golden heart.  He was a simple man, who didn’t need material objects, instead, he made it his life’s purpose in giving love to those around him, making them feel welcomed and valued.  Dustin would go the extra mile in building life-long friendships, caring for his friends and their families as his own. He was a loving uncle to his niece, Khloe, a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend who will be deeply missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his father, Rick Freeman; brother, Joshua (Krystal) Freeman; sister, Sarah Freeman; niece, Khloe Lesesne; his maternal grandparents, Sharon (Jerry) Peterson and Phil Langner; maternal uncles, Mike (Barb) Langner; Shawn (Mandi) Peterson and Stephen (Ashley) Peterson; maternal aunts, Anna (Ron) Williams; and Christina (Matt) Horn; Paternal uncles, Tony  and Jimmy Freeman; paternal aunt, Lisa Lynn (Mark Feiock) Freeman  many other relatives and friends.
