Gerald E. Wagner

Jerry Wagner, age 75, passed away Wednesday January 22, 2020 at Sanford Medical Center. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday January 25, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday at Miller's.

Gerald Elmer Wagner, better known as Jerry, was born July 22, 1944 in Barnesville, MN. He grew up and received his education there. He then attended Moorhead State College for two years. Jerry then served in the United States Army, being honorably discharged in 1967.

He was united in marriage to Shelia Arnell Banse on December 28, 1967 in Sisseton, SD. Jerry worked as a meat cutter for various companies until Nash Finch transferred him to Sioux Falls to work as a meat merchandiser.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, but his greatest joy came from spending time with family. Over the years he had dogs and cats as his furry companions.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Shelia; daughters, Ann Anderson, and Michele Frederick, all of Sioux Falls, his son Brian Wagner, Harrisburg, SD; his grandchildren, Brianna Carson, Josh Wagner, Ethan and Jared Frederickson, Hannah, Hunter and Destinee Wagner; his great grandchildren, Ezra Cottier, Myka and Love' Carson; his siblings, Richard (Margaret) Wagner, Fargo, ND, Linda (Don) Dahlen, Twin Valley, MN, Lorretta (Roger) Lemke, St. Cloud, MN, and Dorothy Hegdahl, Valley City, ND.

His parents, daughter Lauri, grandson Logan, and sister Arlene Ernst preceded her in death.
