Jacquelyn J. Moeller
Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jane Moeller, age 75, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Her family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 also at the funeral home. Please direct memorial donations to the Union Gospel Mission.
Jacquelyn Jane Buchholz was born on March 13, 1951 in Tyndall, SD to Pete and Delphia “Sally” (Rappe) Buchholz. As a young girl her family made their home in Sioux Falls, SD and it is here that Jackie was raised and received her education, graduating from Washington High School.
Following high school, Jackie began working at Metz Baking Company, while there, she met the love of her life, Douglas Moeller. Jackie and Doug were united in marriage on August 12, 1972 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls and were blessed with two sons Craig and Scott.
In addition to working at Metz Baking Company, Jackie worked at Linton Microwave Company, CitiBank, Dakota Care, and Wollmann Insurance before retiring in 2016, to take care of her grandchildren. Jackie absolutely loved being a grandma, from making holidays special and memorable to showing love, patience, and kindness and a genuine interest in the little things happening in their lives, she had a special gift of always making her grandchildren feel loved and important.
Jackie was a faithful member of Central Church in Sioux Falls, and loved reading her bible, and attending group bible discussions. She also enjoyed making quilts and passing them out to others. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband of 54-years, Douglas Moeller of Sioux Falls, SD; her two sons, Craig Moeller and his wife, Emely of Worthing, SD and Scott Moeller and his wife, Angie of Worthing, SD; six grandchildren, Uriah, Dominique, Bergun, Dayne, Leighton and Nash; two brothers, Morris and Mickey Buchholz of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Sally Buchholz; her grandson, Logun Scott Moeller; two siblings, DelRay Buchholz and Loxie Hockenberry; brother-in-law, William “Tony” Hockenberry; three sisters-in-laws, Bonnie, Patsy and Pam Buchholz.
