Khamphanh Banouvong

Khamphanh Banouvong, age 86, died on Sunday, September 28th at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Buddhist funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4th at Miller Funeral Home, in Sioux Falls. Visitation will begin at 2 PM on Friday at the George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with the family present to greet friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls.

Khamphanh was born on November, 3rd, 1921, in Laos to Khammy and Bounpheng (Norasing) Banouvong. He was united in marriage to Phoumy Kammaphanh in 1947 in Laos. The couple had eleven children in Laos where Khamphanh was a school teacher. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1983.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Phoumy Banouvong, eight children: daughter, Khamphou Luang Khot; daughter, Khamphoui Sayasavanh; son, Aroun Banouvong; daughter, Samoutsakone Banouvong; daughter Amone Phrommany; son, Sonthone Banouvong; daughter, Nikone Banouvong and son, Sonny Banouvong; 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Phouthone Banouvong; 2 sons, Daovone and Oudone Banouvong.
