Marlene Larson of Lincolnshire since 1967 Funeral services for Marlene Larson, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Community Christian Church, 1970 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Born Aug. 8, 1937, in Wessington Springs, S.D., she passed away suddenly Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Highland Park Hospital. Marlene was a graduate of Washington High School in Sioux Falls, S.D., and was a former resident of Minneapolis and Seattle. She was the organist at the Washburn Congregational Church in Half Day for many years and was a member of the Community Christian Church in Lincolnshire. Marlene was the former executive secretary to the CEO of Horizon Federal Savings Bank in Wilmette and for the past 15 years, had been the executive secretary to the executive director of the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Park Ridge. Surviving are her husband, David Larson; sons, Jeff Larson (Steve Rhyne) of Oakland, Calif., and Todd (Susan) Larson of North Brunswick, N.J.; grandsons, Christian, Eric and Evan; and brothers, Tom (Bonnie) Brown of Sioux Falls and William (Bonnie) of Eden Prairie, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Edna Brown.
