Michael Alan Kelley

Mike A. Kelley, a beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in Chula Vista, California. He was 57 years old.

Michael "Mikey" Alan Kelley was born on December 20, 1966, to Donald and Sharon (Steineke) Kelley in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from Lincoln High in 1985 and joined the US Navy after graduation.

On October 9, 2009, Mike married Stacey Johnson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and they raised their family together in Sioux Falls. Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 2011; however, they continued to date for the next four years. On January 1, 2015, Mike and Stacey reunited in marriage, and their love for each other was stronger than ever. Mike owned and operated Sioux Falls Commercial Cleaning in Sioux Falls. After eight years as the owner, he retired in 2023 after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Mike enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and boating. He had an artistic side and enjoyed building, fixing, and creating new things. However, his greatest passion was spending time with his family, and he adored his two dogs, Tucker and Diva.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Kelley of Sioux Falls; children, Bryce Marquardt of Ankeny, IA, Tienna Kelley of Sioux Falls, Regan (Joey) Dickerson of Brandon, SD, Kiara Kelley of Sioux Falls, Austin McNulty of Sioux Falls, Ashley (Corey) Sanders of Crooks, SD, and Susan Farrell-Poncelet of Madison, SD; six grandchildren, Jordan, Treyton, Carson, Landyn, Breckyn, and Laikyn; sister, Tracey (Jim) Kirkeby of Sioux Falls; and parents-in-law, Garran and Ruth Pliska.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Sharon Kelley.

A visitation, with family present, will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, and a prayer service beginning at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Miller Westside, 6200 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Central Church, 3100 W. Ralph Rogers Road, Sioux Falls, SD 57108.
