Paul John Pederson

Paul John Pederson, age 86, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 after a battle with esophageal Cancer.  His family will be present to greet friends for visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD.

Paul was born on September 25, 1939, in Madison, South Dakota, to Arthur and Clara Pederson. He lived a long and hardworking life dedicated to his family and his career.

Paul spent 45 years working for Morrell’s, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Over the years he built many friendships and took pride in providing for his family.

Paul enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He especially loved Watching WWE or WCW Wrestling, driving around in his car, watching and spending time with his great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy. Family was always at the center of his life, and he treasured the moments he shared with them.

Paul is survived by his children, Paula Atwood (Mike DeBose) and Steve (Amy) Pederson: his grandchildren, Alycia Atwood, Austin Atwood, Cade Pederson, and Cole Pederson; and his five great-grandchildren, Jayceon, Taelynn, Raelie, Travious, and Alayah. He is also survived by his siblings, Harvey (Joyce) Pederson and Marlene (Lealand) Johannsen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Pederson; his son, Jason Pederson; his brother, Wayne Pederson; and his son-in-law, Stanley Atwood.

Paul will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his years of hard work, and the quiet joy he found in life’s simple moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
