Ronald Wallenberg was born December 31, 1935, in Beaver Creek, MN, to Fred and Jeanette (Bjerk) Wallenberg. The family moved to Sioux Falls, SD, when Ronald was three years old, where he was raised and educated.

Ronald was united in marriage to his best friend and soulmate, Verna Johnson, on October 30, 1954, in Sioux Falls, SD. To this union, they were blessed with five wonderful children. Ronald was a devoted and caring husband and father. His family always had a special time whenever they all got together and always put others' needs before his own.

Ronald worked for John Morrell & Company for 24 years, retiring in 1979. In retirement, Verna and Ronald enjoyed traveling and spent 12 winters on South Padre Island and in Galveston, TX, where they met many special people. Ronald was a long-time member of St. Lambert Catholic Church and was most proud of being a Lifetime Member of the Elks Club.

Ronald loved being outside in the sunshine, tending his garden, watching the birds and cooking. He looked forward to Wednesday mornings having coffee with his Morrell buddies, he had the gift of gab and could talk to anybody. His wit and humor will be missed.
