Shirley A. Philips

Shirley A. Philips, 83, of Sioux Falls, SD died Friday, January 4, 2019. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Shirley Ann Cahow, daughter of Tracy and DeLorus (Strong) Cahow, was born December 2, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN. Her early years were spent in Wasington, DC before moving with her family to Sioux Falls, SD in 1947. Shirley graduated from Washington High School in 1954.

Shirley was united in marriage with Clinton G. Philips on February 9, 1955 in Washington, DC.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Clinton; two daughters, Daleen Foster and her husband, Mark, Sioux Falls, SD, Michell Philips-Bhakar and her husband, Vid, San Jose, CA; two grandchildren, Talor Foster and her husband, Dillon Whitman, Sioux Falls, SD, Garet Foster, Denver, CO; six siblings, Ronald Cahow, of North Carolina, Keith Cahow, of Florida, Kevin Cahow and his wife, Debbie, Pompano Beach, FL, Donna Jellis and her husband, Ronald, Pompano Beach, FL, Jaclyn Dana, Davidsonville, FL, Tari Cahow, Deerfield, FL; and many other relatives and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steven Cahow.
