Terry D. Johansen

Terry Johansen, 65, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, under the compassionate care of Ava's House hospice. Terry was born on December 8, 1957, in Mitchell, SD to Dwayne Johansen and Shirley Sorenson. He received his education in Brandon, SD.

Terry was employed at Spartan Fire Trucks Machinist, Lift Pro Solutions, and Palisades Auto Service Station. 

Some things Terry enjoyed were NASCAR with his favorite driver being Rusty Wallace. He cheered on his favorite football team, the Seattle Seahawks. He also loved spending time with friends and his best companion, Jax. Terry is mainly known for his stubbornness. Even though he may have been stubborn, he always had a willingness to help others.

Terry is survived by his son Zachary (Alicia) Hagstrom of Brandon, SD; his siblings, Paula Johansen of Denton, TX, Jim Johansen of Lennox, SD, and Joe Johansen of Lennox, SD; his lifelong friend, Maureen “Mo” Kleven of Garretson, SD; her kids, Kasey (Sierra) Kleven of Sioux Falls, SD, Kendra Kleven of Garretson, SD; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Corey Johansen; and his parents.
