Theodore "Ted" G. Harriman

heodore "Ted" George Harriman was born June 29, 1937 to Lyle and Mary (Clark) Harriman. He died March 4, 2015 at Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at First Christian Church, 524 West 13th Street, Sioux Falls, SD Theodore George Harriman was born in Sioux Falls, June 29, 1937 to Lyle and Mary Harriman. He attended Beadle Grade School and belonged to the "Galesburg Reunion." Ted graduated from Washington High School in 1955. Following graduation, Ted joined the Merchant Marine Reserves. He was employed at Best Business Machines for many years. He also worked as a realtor and an auctioneer. He retired from Home Federal Bank as a real estate appraiser in 2008. Ted was united in marriage to Vi Roth May 30, 1968. As a devout Christian, Ted was a lifetime member of First Christian Church, an Elder Emeritus and choir member. Ted also sang for the Elks Choir and a snowbird choir in Texas. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Not only did he enjoy singing in the Elks Choir, he was also a 40 year member. He was an avid camper, enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Vi; his step-children, Lynn Hilmoe of Sioux Falls, Michael Roth and his wife, Renee, of Hartford, SD, Sandra Clausen and her husband Reinhard, Anoka, MN, and Julie Roth and Trisha Rose; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his stepmother, Doris Harriman; seven half brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his Aunt Doris Clark, brother Dick Harriman and sister, Bonnie Meyer.
